A taste of Europe in Halifax’s North end

Eliot & Vine opened its doors in the spring of 2016, introducing a chic but casual, high-quality European dining experience to Halifax’s North End. Eliot & Vine offers the perfect atmosphere for many occasions, from a romantic date night to drinks after work with friends. Try our daily happy hour buck-a-shuck oysters and $6 drinks.

Our main dining room is encased by large windows, providing diners with beautiful natural light. Our smaller, semi-private ‘Frolic Room’ offers guests a feast for the eyes: Breathtaking murals created by artist Jean Bradbury, featuring paintings and imagery inspired by the life and passions of our owner, Johanna Eliot. In the summer we have a popular patio to capture the summer heat.

Eliot & Vine offers a modest, yet carefully curated selection of local and imported wines, along with locally brewed beers on tap and handcrafted cocktails at the marble bar. Our unique and flavorful European-inspired menu offers guests the chance to try something new, along with familiar favorites.

We believe that using fresh, locally sourced ingredients makes a difference, not only in quality but in flavor. In doing so, Eliot & Vine has created strong relationships with Nova Scotia’s many small businesses and independent agriculturalists.

A wonderful experience ! Unanimously we agreed it was the best meal and dining experience we have had this year! So much fun. We actually commented on how low the noise level was which is perfect.

Review from Open Table

Eliot & Vine is brilliant. Simple. Good food. We had the steak, the chicken and mussel starter. All excellent.

Review from Google

Service was excellent, it seems like a friendly (but not too friendly, just right) well oiled efficient team. Definitely a new favourite date night gem.
